Everything, Everywhere, All At Once

Change happens gradually, and then suddenly.
Everything exists in equilibrium, and then nothing at all.

This past week was a kick in the nuts... yet a welcomed one — as strange as that sounds.

A multitude of things that existed in harmony crumbled suddenly...
... and in the process they revealed a new opportunity — funny how that happens.

The part I'm most grateful for in all of this is that I saw response as a choice, instead of a habitual reaction.
That is not how I would have handled things a few short years prior, and for that I'm choosing to give myself love.

As for the input, how I'm thinking about things in this moment... I know that this too shall pass.
... and that a smart woman once told me, "You can feel all of the emotions, but you don't have to be them."

It's easy to get caught up in the mud when you're in the thick of it, or you can double down on what you know.
That for me is fitness, music, introspective walks, and intentionally looking for what I've not seen prior.

Don't miss out on the magic around you because you're in search of it, instead, choose to exist in it.

Quote On My Mind:

“Darkness gives you a horizon much further than the eye can see.”

— David Whyte

To expand into light, requires an acceptance of the dark…
... and until you strike that equilibrium, you'll exist outside of flow.
